Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been sewing?

I’ve been making garments since 2011, and sewing for others since 2015.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment through my website, or you can message me on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or LinkedIn. I’d love to chat with you about your needs so reach out however is most convenient. I keep my calendar tidy so I don’t overbook, so once I know more about your needs, I’ll send a direct scheduling link. I have a variety of appointment times available!

Where are you located?

My studio is located in my home in North Knoxville. I will provide the address once your appointment is scheduled. There is a separate entrance available to clients. We do not have a public restroom.

Do you make clothing for men?

I make clothing for everyone - men, women & children.

I’m self-conscious about my body - do you have to take my measurements?

Yes - I can’t fully customize your clothing if I don’t take your measurements. Please remember these are just numbers - your measurements in no way determine your beauty or value.

What do I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

I ask that you cancel your appointment within 12 hours if able. You may call, email or text to do so. If you need to cancel last minute, please call, email or text anyway. If you fail to show without notifying me, I will not reschedule with you.

Do you offer refunds for bespoke garments?

No - the nature of bespoke clothing is that you are involved in the process from beginning to end and will have several fittings during which to provide feedback. The creation of a custom garment is a collaborative process so please speak up during your fittings!

What is included in a sewing lesson?

Sewing lessons are 100% tailored to your interests and all supplies except fabric are included so that you can choose which fabric you prefer. This can include garment sewing for children or adults, home decor projects (curtains, pillow covers), etc. If you are an absolute beginner, we can follow my Sewing 101 curriculum which takes place over three sessions. I offer a special discount to anyone wanting to schedule at least three lessons - buy two, get one free or $150 for three one-hour lessons!

How long will I have to wait for my bespoke garment?

Due to the nature of bespoke clothing, I ask that you allow up to 4 weeks for your project to be completed. Creating bespoke clothing is a very technical yet intuitive process. I kindly ask that you not rush that process!

How long will I have to wait for my alterations to be completed?

Alteration projects are completed within 3 weeks.

Do you make wedding gowns?

If you’re wanting a bespoke wedding or formal gown, please reach out so we can discuss. I strongly recommend reaching out at least three months prior to your event.
